Whether you are a first time mama or are adding to your young family, a birth parent or adopting, one thing is for certain; the first days, weeks and months after a new baby's birth are wonderful, for sure, but can also be a time of incertainty, sleepless days and feelings of being overwhelmed.

A Post-Partum Doula can help families transition through this time of welcoming your new baby, as you bond as a family and settle into new routines.

Needs of each family can vary greatly, but typical roles for a Post-Partum Doula include:

- help 'mother' the Mother, ensuring the new Mama is best able to care for her new baby.

- light housework and meal preparation.

- local errands.

- breastfeeding support.

- help care for older siblings.

- help implement any Attachment Parenting methods, such as baby wearing, co-sleeping and gentle parenting.
